BDB Law successfully hosted a webinar on CREATE MORE and its RRs on March 12, 2025. The session opened with Atty. Irwin C. Nidea, Jr. Senior Partner at BDB Law, who provided an insightful overview of the key changes in VAT policies across different phases — Pre-CREATE, CREATE, and CREATE MORE. His discussion centered on VAT treatment for various business entities, covering importation, local sales, exports, and other zero-rated activities, as well as refund processes and special regulations on petroleum.
This was followed by Atty. Mabel L. Buted, who delved into other critical aspects of the CREATE MORE law, including tax incentives for Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs), updates on income tax policies, local taxation, and other significant revisions aimed at enhancing the country’s investment climate.
The webinar concluded with an engaging Q&A session, moderated by Atty. Fulvio D. Dawilan, Managing Partner at BDB Law, where participants raised clarifications on the practical application of the new tax regulations and their impact on business operations.
